    Preferred experience:

    • Three or more years of Head Start experience preferred (not for profit experience may be substituted).

    • Federal non profit grant experience.

    • Two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of technical and professional principles and skills of accounting.

    • Knowledge of data processing capabilities and procedures, including the use of computers and a variety of software programs.

    • Strong accounting and financial management skills

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with professionalism, discretion, and integrity

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees in the completion of the accounting functions of the program on an accurate and timely basis within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the program, performance standards and the cost principals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work as a member of the Early Head Start (EHS) team to plan and implement center-based programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and their families. Direct the EHS plan and implement daily activities that promote language, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children from birth to age 3. Ensure that the center maintains compliance with the Head Start/Early Head Start performance standards and licensing requirements.
