Cyndi MusickCyndi is a mother of 2 children and is also a Head Start grandmother. She has been associated with Head Start for over 13 years. Cyndi joined NWAHS in Aug 2007 and became director in 2009.

At Rogers Arkansas Street Head Start all of our three classroom teachers are degreed.   We employ a diverse staff to accomodate children of various ethnicities.  This year we look forward to gaining accreditation with ECERS and providing a quality environment for children and parents. Our program provides a needed service to the community for qualifying families. Calendar of events that is going on at the center.
Volunteers:
  • Junior Auxillary: comes the first Thursday of each month for our monthly birthdays.
  • Maria Perez: helps every Monday and Tuesday.
  • Rogers Public Library: comes once every month to read to the children.

    Our location is a State Quality Approved childcare facility, providing a higher quality overall program. Given this designation, we have been proven to not only meet, but exceed the standards providing:
    • A program that views parents as an important part of the early education of their children,
    • A physical environment that is supportive of the physical and mental development of each child in our care,
    • An educational program that prepares children for success in school,
    • Trained professional staff who know how to work effectively with children and who continue to pursue educational and training opportunities.

    Licensing

    All Northwest Arkansas Head Start Centers are compliant, Licensed Child Care Providers. Our licenses are issued by the State of Arkansas Department of Health & Human Services Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education. NWAHS invites you to view our licensing status via the DHHS Website.

    Door Entry Security

    kes_02.jpgOur Keyless Entry System limits access to our Head Start centers by allowing entry only to authorized staff and families. Unique ID codes are assigned to each person. Codes may be disabled at any time providing a safe, secure environment for children and peace of mind for parents. Our system keeps a live record of who enters our buildings allowing us to monitor building access in real time or by printing a daily log. Each ID code may also be placed on a restricted list directly from our center computer.
